Delta-like protein (DLL4) is a single-pass transmembrane protein that belongs to the Delta/Serrate/Lag-2 (DSL) family of proteins. DLL4 is one of the five ligands for Notch receptors. It plays a critical role in the Notch signaling pathway and promotes angiogenesis, blood homeostasis, and differentiation of blood vessels in either VEGF-dependent or VEGF-independent manner. In addition to angiogenesis, DLL4 also promotes migration and invasion of cancer cells. It is highly expressed in cancers such as colorectal, breast, and ovarian cancer. Several drugs, antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates are in development for DLL4 targeted therapies to treat cancer. ’s DLL4 (Human) ELISA kit quantitatively measures DLL4 in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Test samples, Standards, and Biotinylated Detection antibody are added to the wells pre-coated with capture antibody and then washed with Wash Buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added to the plate, and post-incubation any unattached conjugates are washed off by Wash Buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of DLL4 in the sample or standard.
