Description

E4951 | IRF7 (Human) ELISA Kit DataSheet

Interferon regulatory factor 7 (IRF7) is a transcription factor that belongs to the family of interferon regulatory factors. Plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs) constitutively express IRF7, however, other cells express IRF7 only after viral infection. IRF7 is a key regulator of anti-viral response as it controls the expression of type I and III interferon genes that are important for innate immunity. On the other hand, type I interferons induce the expression of IRF7, thus resulting in a positive feedforward loop that attenuates antiviral response. Overexpression of IRF7 is observed in chronic lymphocytic leukemia, acute myelogenous leukemia, and adult T-cell leukemia. IRF7 may be involved in oncogenesis, however, its role may be cell type-dependent. ’s IRF7 (Human) ELISA kit is based on the Sandwich ELISA principle to quantitatively measure the concentration of IRF7 in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Test samples, Standards, and Biotinylated Detection antibody are added to the wells pre-coated with capture antibody and then washed with Wash Buffer. The HRP-Streptavidin is added and any unattached conjugates are washed off using Wash Buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected by the addition of TMB-substrate. Finally, the reaction is terminated with an acidic stop solution. The color developed is proportional to the concentration of IRF7 in the sample or standard.
