Neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor type 3 (NTRK3, TRKC) is one of the three transmembrane surface receptor protein that belongs to the family of receptor tyrosine kinase. These receptor proteins are activated by neurotrophins such as Nerve Growth Factor (NGF), Brain-Derived Growth Factor (BDGF), and Neurotrophins 3 and 4 (NT-3, NT-4). NTRK3 is activated by NT-3, and upon activation, it promotes cell survival, proliferation, and motility. However, in the absence of NT-3, NTRK3 promotes apoptosis. Reduced expression of NTRK3 is associated with neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Huntington's disease. ETV6- NTRK3 gene fusion has been demonstrated to be a critical driver of oncogenesis. Currently, NTRK3 inhibitors are under different stages of development to treat ETV6-NTRK3 fusion protein-associated diseases. ’s NTRK3 (Human) ELISA kit quantitatively measures NTRK3 in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Test samples, Standards, and Biotinylated Detection antibody are added to the wells pre-coated with capture antibody and then washed with Wash Buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added to the plate, and post-incubation any unattached conjugates are washed off by Wash Buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of NTRK3 in the sample or standard.
