Description
Prostratin is a terpenoid, non-tumorigenic PKC activator isolated from Pimelia prostrata. Induces differentiation of human myeloid leukemia cells and potentiates differentiation by chemotherapeutic agents. Inhibits tumorigenesis in KRAS mutant pancreatic cancer cells and reduces tumor growth in mouse pancreatic tumor models. Also, acts as a NF-κB activator. Activates HIV gene expression in T cells.
