Description

STF-31 is a potent glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1) inhibitor (IC₅₀ = ~ 1 µM). It induces necrosis in cancer cells that lack the von Hippel-Lindau tumor suppressor gene, which overexpress GLUT1. Recently, STF-31 has been shown to inhibit the enzyme activity of nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT) in biochemical assay in vitro.
