Description

E4934 | suPAR (Human) ELISA Kit DataSheet

Urokinase (urokinase-type plasminogen activator, uPA) is a serine protease produced in the kidney and is present in blood and extracellular matrix (ECM). In the ECM, the uPA is bound to its receptor, uPAR, a 45-55 kDa protein anchored to the glycosylphosphatidylinositol of the cell membrane. Upon cleavage by proteases, the uPAR releases a soluble form called suPAR. suPAR levels can be detected in plasma, urine, serum, and body fluids. Increased levels of suPAR are detected in diseased conditions such as Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), sepsis, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, immunological disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and liver cirrhosis. Recently, it was reported that admission levels of suPAR could be used for the early prognosis of COVID-19 patients. Therefore, suPAR serves as a promising prognostic biomarker to predict human diseases. ’s suPAR (Human) ELISA kit is based on the Sandwich principle to quantitatively measure the concentration of suPAR in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Test samples, Standards, and Biotinylated Detection antibody are added to the wells pre-coated with capture antibody and then washed with Wash Buffer. The HRP-Streptavidin is added and any unattached conjugates are washed off using Wash Buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected by the addition of TMB-substrate. Finally, the reaction is terminated with an acidic stop solution. The color developed is directly proportional to the concentration of suPAR in the sample or standard

Alternate Name : CD87, UPAR, URKR, U-PAR, PLAUR, MO3

Tag Line : A Sandwich ELISA kit to quantitatively measure soluble uPAR in human serum, plasma, tissue lysates, and other biological fluids

Summary :

Detection Method : Absorbance (450 nm)

Sample Type : Other biological fluids Plasma Tissue lysate Serum

Species Reactivity : Human

Applications : This Sandwich ELISA kit is designed to quantitatively measure amount of suPAR in human serum, plasma, tissue lysates, and other biological fluids
