Description

Thrombospondin (TSP) is a cellular adhesion protein isolated from human platelets that had been stimulated with thrombin . TSP is a component of the coagulation mechanism and is believed to have potential as a marker for platelet activation and renal failure. Found in multiple biological processes including angiogenesis, apoptosis, activation of TGF- and immune regulation.
