Description
Acetazolamide is a potent carbonic anhydrase (CA) inhibitor. It is currently used as an antiglaucoma, antiepileptic and diuretic agent, and is also effective in the treatment of Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH). Modulates epileptiform synchronization in rat brain slices. Increases speed of synaptic vesicle recycling and changes synaptic performance in ex vivo murine neuromuscular junction.
