Description
Amrinone is a potent phosphodiesterase 3 (PDE3) inhibitor (IC₅₀ = 19.5 µM). It increases developed tension and contractile force in isolated cat papillary muscle. It also displays positive inotropic effects, increasing the rate and force of heart contraction in anesthetized and unanesthetized dogs.
