Anti-CD4 (Clenoliximab), Chimeric Antibody | A2346

The original biosimilar is a chimeric monoclonal antibody against CD4 which acts as an immunomodulator and has been investigated for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. CD4 acts as a coreceptor with the T-cell receptor on T lymphocytes to recognize antigens displayed by antigen presenting cells in the context of a class II MHC molecule. CD4 is also a primary viral entry point for the human immunodeficiency virus. The CD4 antigen is expressed by many cell types in addition to T lymphocytes, and is responsible for immune responses against pathogens and other stimuli.
