Host: Rabbit
Reactivity: Human
Application: IHC
Application Range: IHC: 1:50~1:200
Background: Androgens exhibit a wide range of effects on the development, maintenance and regulation of male phenotype and reproductive physiology in males. The androgen receptor (AR) is a member of the steroid superfamily of ligand-dependent transcription factors. ARs bind active testosterone (T) and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) . The rates of association and dissociation of T are about 3 times more rapid than those of DHT. This difference in binding kinetics may account for the different physiological effects of T and DHT. Androgen binding results in an at least 6-fold increase in androgen receptor stability.
Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: p-AR (S213) polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of Androgen Receptor protein only when phosphorylated at Ser213.
Molecular Weight: ~ 110 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Alternative Names: Androgen receptor; Dihydrotestosterone receptor; Nuclear receptor subfamily 3 group C member 4; AR; DHTR; NR3C4
Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human AR around the phosphorylation site of Serine 213.
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Modification: Phosphorylation
Purification & Purity: The Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE) .
Pathway: Nuclear Receptor Signaling,
