Description
Aripiprazole is a high affinity dopamine D2 and 5-HT1A receptor partial agonist (Ki values are ~1.64 and 5.59 nM respectively). Also 5-HT2A antagonist (Ki = 8.7 nM). Aripiprazole is a clinically useful neuroleptic and antipsychotic agent. It improves symptoms of psychosis associated with Alzheimer's disease. Aripiprazole blocks cocaine-seeking behavior without affecting other rewarding behaviors in animal models.
