Host: Rabbit

Reactivity: Human,Rat,Mouse

Application: WB

Application Range: WB: 1:500~1:1000

Background: Cross-linking of the B cell receptor (BCR) activates a variety of signaling pathways involved in processes such as cell proliferation and apoptosis. Intracellular protein tyrosine kinases such as Syk and Lyn have been implicated in this BCR signal transduction and are thought to play an important role in B cell development. BLNK (for B cell linker protein) is a central linker protein in B cells which has been shown to associate with the effector proteins GRB2, Vav, Nck and PLCγ following activation of the B cell receptor. The two forms of BLNK, p68 and p70, arise from alternate splicing of the human BLNK gene transcript. BLNK is phosphorylated by the Syk tyrosine kinase, which in turn permits activation of downstream effector proteins including GRB2 and PLCγ.

Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: BLNK (phospho-Y84) polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of BLNK protein only when phosphorylated at Try84 .

Molecular Weight: ~ 70 kDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Alternative Names: B-cell linker protein; B-cell adapter containing a SH2 domain protein; B-cell adapter containing a Src homology 2 domain protein; Cytoplasmic adapter protein; Src homology 2 domain-containing leukocyte protein of 65 kDa; SLP-65; BLNK; BASH; SLP65

Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human BLNK around the phosphorylation site of Tyrosine805.

Conjugate: Unconjugated
