Application Range: WB: 1:500~1:1000 ICC: 1:50~1:200

Background: Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are members of a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. CAs are involved in a variety of biological processes, including respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and gastric juice. They show extensive diversity in distribution and in their subcellular localization. The human CA5A gene encodes for the CA V protein which is expressed in the mitochondrial matrix in liver tissues, but can also be detected in many other tissues. In ureagenesis, the CA V protein may be involved in providing bicarbonate to carbamoyl phosphate synthetase.

Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: CA5A polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of CA5A protein.

Molecular Weight: ~ 35 kDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Alternative Names: Carbonic anhydrase 5A, mitochondrial; Carbonate dehydratase VA; Carbonic anhydrase VA; CA-VA; CA5A; CA5

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 223-268 of Human CA5A.

Conjugate: Unconjugated

Modification: Unmodification

Purification & Purity: The Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE) .
