Reactivity: Human,Mouse,Rat

Application: WB

Application Range: WB: 1:500~1:1000

Background: Voltage-dependent Ca2+ channelsmediate Ca2+ entryinto excitable cells in response tomembrane depolarization, and they are involved in a variety of Ca2+-dependent processes, includingmuscle contraction, hormone or neurotransmitter release and gene expression. Calciumchannels are highly diverse, multimeric complexescomposed of anα-1 subunit, an intracellular β-subunit, a disulfide linkedα-2/δ-subunit and a transmembrane γ-subunit. Ca2+ currents are characterized on the basis of their biophysical and pharmacologic properties and include L-, N-, T-, P-, Q-, and R-types. R-type Ca++ currentsinitiate a rapid synaptictransmission that isregulated through G proteins, SNARE proteins, and protein phosphorylation. R-type Ca++ channels may partially regulate the secretory processin chromaffin cells bymediating rapid secretoryresponses evoked byshort depolarizing pulses.

Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: CACNA1E polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of CACNA1E protein.

Molecular Weight: ~ 262 kDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Alternative Names: Voltage-dependent R-type calcium channel subunit alpha-1E; Brain calcium channel II; BII; Calcium channel, L type, alpha-1 polypeptide, isoform 6; Voltage-gated calcium channel subunit alpha Cav2.3; CACNA1E; CACH6, CACNL1A6

Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in Human CACNA1E.

Conjugate: Unconjugated

Modification: Unmodification

Purification & Purity: The Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE) .
