Description

Caspase-7 p20 (D198) polyclonal Antibody | BS7007 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Host: Rabbit

Reactivity: Human,Mouse,Rat

Application: IHC

Application Range: IHC: 1:50~1:200

Background: A unique family of Cysteine proteases has been described that differs in sequence, structure and substrate specificity from any previously described protease family. This family, Ced-3/caspase-1, is comprised of caspase-1, caspase-2, caspase-3, caspase-4, caspase-6, caspase-7 (also designated Mch3, ICE-LAP3 or CMH-1), caspase-9 and caspase-10. Ced-3/caspase-1 family members function as key components of the apoptotic machinery and act to destroy specific target proteins which are critical to cellular longevity. Poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase plays an integral role in surveying for DNA mutations and double strand breaks.

Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: Caspase-7 p20 (D198) polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of the large fragment of caspase-7 resulting from cleavage at Asp198. The Antibody does not cross-react with full length caspase-7 or with other caspases.

Molecular Weight: ~ 20 kDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Alternative Names: Apoptosis related cysteine peptidase; Apoptosis Related Cysteine Protease; Apoptotic protease Mch-3; Apoptotic Protease MCH3; CASP 7; CASP-7; CASP7; Caspase-7 subunit p11; Caspase7; CMH 1; CMH-1; CMH1; ICE LAP3; ICE like Apoptotic Protease 3; ICE-LAP3; ICE-like apoptotic protease 3; MCH3;

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 180-230 of Human Caspase 7.

Conjugate: Unconjugated

Modification: Unmodification

Purification & Purity: The Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE) .
