Description

CCL14 (Human) ELISA Kit | E5114-100

Description: CCL14 is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family which promotes the activation of immune cells. It has weak activities on human monocytes and acts via receptors that also recognize MIP-1 alpha. It induces intracellular Ca2+ changes and enzyme release, but no chemotaxis, at concentrations of 100-1,000 nM, and is inactive on T-lymphocytes, neutrophils, and eosinophil leukocytes. CCL14 plays an important role in the occurrence and development of cancer. CCL14 is a novel prognostic factor of hepatocellular carcinoma and serve as a tumor suppressor. It is also an independent prognostic factor for epithelial ovarian cancer and upregulation of CCL14 is associated with a more favorable prognosis in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. ’s CCL14 (Human) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative detection of CCL14 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is based on the principle of sandwichLISA. The capture antibody is pre-coated on 96-well plates. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of CCL14 in the sample.
