Background: Centrosomal protein of 78 kDa, also known as Cep78, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CEP78 gene. Proteins are biochemical compounds consisting of one or more polypeptides typically folded into a globular or fibrous form in a biologically functional way. A polypeptide is a single linear polymer chain of amino acids bonded together by peptide bonds between the carboxyl and amino groups of adjacent amino acid residues. The sequence of amino acids in a protein is defined by the sequence of a gene, which is encoded in the genetic code.
Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: CEP78 polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of CEP78 protein.
Molecular Weight: ~ 78 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Alternative Names: Centrosomal protein of 78 kDa; Cep78; CEP78; C9orf81
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide, corresponding Human CEP78.
