CXCL1 belongs to the CXC chemokine family composed of small peptides, and was originally identified in melanoma tumors. CXCL1 also plays an important role in angiogenesis, tumorigenesis, and wound healing. It acts as a chemoattractant for several immune cells, especially neutrophils or other non-hematopoietic cells to the site of injury or infection. Additionally, CXCL1 increases the expression of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) 2/9 via the ERK1/2 pathway. ’s CXCL1 (Human) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative detection of CXCL1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is based on the principle of Sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is pre-coated on 96-well plates. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of CXCL1 in the sample.
