Background: Cytochrome c6 is known as a redox carrier of the thylakoid lumen of cyanobacteria and some eukaryotic algae that can substitute for plastocyanin in electron transfer.Cytochrome c6 is situated between the two membrane-bound complexes cytochrome b6f and photosystem I (PSI) in oxygenic photosynthesis.Cytochrome c6 (cyt c6) in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii is synthesized only under conditions of copper deficiency when plastocyanin cannot be synthesized.
Reconstitution: For reconstitution add 200 µl of sterile water
Storage: Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
