Description

Cytokeratin 8 (Phospho-S432) polyclonal Antibody | BS64523 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Host: Rabbit

Reactivity: Human,Mouse

Application: WB IHC IF

Application Range: WB: 1:500~1:1000 IHC: 1:50~1:200

Background: Cytokeratin 8 belongs to the type B (basic) subfamily of high molecular weight keratins and exists in combination with cytokeratin 18. Cytokeratin 8 is primarily found in the non squamous epithelia and is present in majority of adenocarcinomas and ductal carcinomas. It is absent in squamous cell carcinomas. Hepatocellular carcinomas are defined by the use of antibodies that recognize only cytokeratin polypeptides 8 and 18.

Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: Cytokeratin 8 (Phospho-S432)  polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of Cytokeratin 8 protein only when phosphorylated at Ser432.

Molecular Weight: ~ 55 kDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Alternative Names: Keratin, type II cytoskeletal 8; Cytokeratin-8; CK-8; Keratin-8; Short name=K8; Type-II keratin Kb8; KRT8; CYK8

Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human Cytokeratin 8 around the phosphorylation site of Serine 432.

Conjugate: Unconjugated

Modification: Phosphorylation

Purification & Purity: The Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE) .

Pathway: Contribution of ECM and Cytoskeletal Factors to EMT,
