Description
DJ-1 CRISPR Stable Knockout HeLa Cell Line | T6181
DJ-1 CRISPR Stable Knockout HeLa Cell line was established using the CRISPR/Cas9 system and validated by immunoblotting with anti-DJ-1 antibody and by genomic DNA sequencing. The functions of DJ-1 are not yet fully understood, though studies show that the protein may play a role in mitigating oxidative stress, particularly in brain cells. It is also thought that DJ-1 may act as a chaperone protein. Mutations in PARK7, the gene encoding the DJ-1 protein, are associated with early-onset Parkinson disease. This cell line is suitable for research regarding the functions of DJ-1 including its role in the development of Parkinson disease.
