Description
A 10 mM (5 mg in 1294 µl) of the rapid apoptosis inducer Raptinal (Cat. No. 9626) in anhydrous DMSO.
Raptinal is a rapid inducer of apoptosis. Consistent with apoptotic morphological changes, U-937 cells treated with 10 μM Raptinal displays modest (at 30 min) and extensive (at 60 min) blebbing. Consistent with caspase-dependent apoptosis, the pan-caspase inhibitor Q-VD-OPh (Cat. No. 1170) quantitatively blocks the loss in cell viability and cellular blebbing. Raptinal is also found to induce death against various cancer and non-cancerous cell lines with 24 hour IC₅₀ values between 0.7-3.4 μM indicating activity across a wide variety of cell lines.
