Description
Cell-permeable. A potent ferroptosis (an iron-dependent form of non-apoptotic cell death) inhibitor. Inhibits erastin-induced ferroptosis in HT-1080 cells with an EC₅₀ of 60 nM. Ferrostatin-1 inhibits ferroptosis in cancer cells as well as blocks glutamate-induced cell death in organotypic rat brain slices.
Ferrostatin-1 is a potent ferroptosis (an iron-dependent form of non-apoptotic cell death) inhibitor. Inhibits erastin-induced ferroptosis in HT-1080 cells with an EC₅₀ of 60 nM.
