Description

GNAZ (A12) polyclonal Antibody | BS2996 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Host: Rabbit

Reactivity: Human,Mouse,Rat

Application: IHC

Application Range: IHC:1:50~1:200

Background: Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. G proteins are composed of 3 units; alpha, beta and gamma. The alpha chain contains the guanine nucleotide binding site. G protein z alpha, encoded by the GNAZ gene, is enriched in neural tissue and differs in sequence from other G alpha subunits. Alpha Subunits are encoded in 15 genes and several transcripts are alternatively spliced. Receptors may discriminate between splice variants; whether splice variants are functionally different in regulating effectors is not known. All alpha subunits appear to be palmitoylated near the N-terminus.

Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: GNAZ (A12) polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of GNAZ protein.

Molecular Weight: ~ 41 kDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Alternative Names: Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G (z) subunit alpha; G (x) alpha chain; Gz-alpha; GNAZ; Gzα; Gz-α

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide, corresponding to the N-terminus of Human GNAZ.

Conjugate: Unconjugated

Modification: Unmodification

Purification & Purity: The Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE) .
