Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H, M
Specificity: This GSN antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 714-743 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human GSN.
Cellular Localisation: [Isoform 2]: Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton.
Molecular Weight: 85698
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: GSN
Gene ID: 2934
Function: Calcium-regulated, actin-modulating protein that binds to the plus (or barbed) ends of actin monomers or filaments, preventing monomer exchange (end-blocking or capping) . It can promote the assembly of monomers into filaments (nucleation) as well as sever filaments already formed. Plays a role in ciliogenesis.
Summary: Tissue Location: Phagocytic cells, platelets, fibroblasts, nonmuscle cells, smooth and skeletal muscle cells
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: IHC-P, FC, WB
Dilution: WB--1:1000-1:2000 IHC-P--1:100~500 FC--1:10~50
Synonyms: Gelsolin, AGEL, Actin-depolymerizing factor, ADF, Brevin, GSN
