Description
GW1100 is an antagonist for the free fatty acid receptor FFAR1 (GPR40). It inhibits GPR40-mediated Ca2+ elevations stimulated by GW 9508 (agonist for GPR40 and GPR120) and linoleic acid with pIC₅₀ values of 5.99 ± 0.03 and 5.99 ± 0.06 respectively. GW1100 reverses the potentiating effects of GW 9508 on glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in MIN6 mouse insulinoma cell line, at a concentration of 1 μM.
