Usage Note: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized human CD226 protein in the buffer which we provide not less than 100 µg/mL, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Storage Conditions: Lyophilized Human CD226/DNAM-1 protein, His tag (Animal-Free) should be stored desiccated below -20°C. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.117% HSA or BSA) . Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature.

Background: The adhesion receptor CD226 (DNAM-1) is a member of the Ig superfamily possessing two extracellular V-like domains. In humans, CD226 was shown to be expressed by NK as well as T cells. During T cell priming, CD226-mediated costimulatory signals may skew the subsequent differentiation into the Th1 pathway. In addition, CD226 expressed on NK and cytotoxic T cells is engaged by its counter-receptor CD155, present on target cells, thereby triggering their elimination.CD226 represents receptor-activating cytotoxic T lymphocyte and natural killer cells taking part in tumor surveillance, the pathogenesis of inflammation, and autoimmune disorders.
