Description

Human Hydroxylysine glycosides (HOLG) ELISA Kit | KTE62529 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Application: This Human Hydroxylysine glycosides (HOLG) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate HOLG in samples. An antibody specific for HOLG has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyHOLG present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for HOLG is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of HOLG bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Detection Method: Colorimetric

Conjugate: N/A

Sample Type: Cell culture supernatants#Serum#Plasma#Other biological fluids

Assay Type: Multiple steps standard sandwich ELISA assay with a working time of 3-5 hours. It depends on the experience of the operation person.

Usage Note: • Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
• Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
• Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
• Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 °C in the sealed bag provided.
• Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
• It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.

Background: Senile osteoporosis (SOP), also known as degenerative osteoporosis, a special performance of biological aging in bone are the occurrence of osteoporosis type Ⅱ, it is growing with age, bone mineral composition and reducing the proportion of bone matrix. Bone thinning, the reduction in the number of bone small beam. A systemic metabolic disorder of increased bone fragility and risk of fracture increased degenerative diseases. It is the increase in bone fragility and lead to fracture increases the risk of a common disease. Women generally in postmenopausal more than 20 years. Male age around 70 years of age or more, the incidence of female-male 2 times. Type trabecular and cortical bone, bone loss with age-related bone loss. Began 40 to 50-year-old men and women with age-related bone loss in the spine, gender rate of bone loss similar to the limbs lost 0.3% to 0.6% annually, spine lost 0.8% to 1.2% annually. Fractures occur in the spine and hip.
