IL-15 Antibody [PEPY024_hIL-15] | XP-5709-M | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Host: Mouse

Reactivity: Human

Homology: N/A

Immunogen: The monoclonal antibody was produced in BALB/c x C57BL/6 F1 mice using recombinant hIL-15 as the immunizing antigen.

Research Area: Immunology, Chemokines & Cytokines

Tested Application: E, WB

Application: ELISA:
In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 μL/well) , a concentration of 4.0-8.0 μg/mL of this antibody will detect at least 250 pg/mL of recombinant human IL-15 when used with our biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human IL-15 (XP-5169Bt) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 2.0-4.0 μg/mL.
Western Blot:
To detect hIL-15 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.50-1.0 μg/mL (non-reducing) or at a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/mL (reducing) . Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hIL-15 is 2.0-4.0 ng/lane, under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

BACKGROUND: IL15 (114 amino acids) is a cytokine that regulates T and natural killer cell activation and proliferation. It has a predicted molecular mass of approximately 12.5 kDa. Human IL15 shares approximately 97% and 73% amino acid sequence identity with simian and mouse IL15, respectively. IL-15 (14-15 kD) is a member of the four alpha-helical bundle family of cytokines. It is very similar to IL-2, except that IL-15 has an IL-15 alpha receptor subunit. IL-15 plays an important role in the growth and differentiation of T and B lymphocytes, natural killer cells, macrophages, and monocytes as well as activation of a number of important intracellular signaling molecules. This implies that IL-15 could be essential for the immune responses, allograft rejection, and the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases.
