Description
MCP-4 Antibody [G7_89.3] | XP-5731-M | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution
Host: Mouse
Reactivity: Human
Homology: N/A
Immunogen: The monoclonal antibody was produced in BALB/c mice using recombinant human MCP-4 as the immunizing antigen.
Research Area: Chemokines & Cytokines, Functional Assays
Tested Application: E, WB, Neut
Application: Neutralization:
To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of rMCP-4 (100 ng/mL) , a concentration of 1-5 μg/mL of this antibody is required.
ELISA:
In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 μL/well) , a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/mL of this antibody will detect at least 100 pg/mL of recombinant human MCP-4 when used with our biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human MCP-4 (XP-5225Bt) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 0.5-1.0 μg/mL.
Western Blot:
To detect hMCP-4 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.20-0.40 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hMCP-4 is 2.0-4.0 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions.

Alternate Name: macrophage, monocyte chemotactic protein 4, MCP4, NCC1, SCYA13, C-C motif chemokine 13, CK-beta-10, MCP-4, CKb10, NCC-1, SCYL1
User Note: Centrifuge vial prior to opening.
BACKGROUND: MCP4 is a member of the b-chemokine family (C-C) of Cytokines. Like Eotaxin, MCP4 is a powerful eosinophil chemo-attractant. Additionally, like MCP-3, MCP-4 elicits chemo-attraction of monocytes and T lymphocytes
