Mouse IL-13 protein | PRP100398 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Product Category: Cytology

Application: Cytokines

Product Type: Cytokines

Sequence: Amino acid sequence derived from mouse IL-13 (P20109) (Pro22-Phe131) was expressed and purified.

Activity: Measured in a cell proliferation assay using TF1 human erythroleukemic cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 20-80 ng/mL. The ED50 for this effect is typically 2-10 ng/mL.

protein Lenght: The recombinant mouse IL-13 consists of 110 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 12.1 KDa. It migrates as an approximately 14 KDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.

Preparation: HEK293 Cells

Purity: > 90 % as determined by SDS-PAGE

Formulation: Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.5

Kit Component: N/A

Features & Benefits : N/A

Molecular Weight: 12.1 kDa

Usage Note: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Mouse IL13 protein in sterile ddH2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Storage Conditions: Lyophilized Mouse IL-13 proteinshould be stored desiccated below -20°C. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.83% HSA or BSA) . Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature.

Background: Interleukin 13 (IL-13) is a single-chain glycosylated polypeptide, which belongs to the IL-13/IL-4 family. IL-13 protein is secreted by many cell types, but especially by T helper type 2 (Th2) cells. IL-13 exerts its effects through a multi-subunit receptor comprising the α chain of the IL-4 receptor (IL-4Rα) and at least one of two known IL-13-specific binding chains (IL-13 Rα1 and IL-13 Rα2) . As a cytokine, IL-13 protein is critical in regulating inflammatory, immune responses and diseases. In addition, it inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, and thus down-regulates macrophage activity. IL-13 protein and antibody is more importantly implicated as a central mediator of immunoregulatory processes in various cell types.
