Description
MTS reagent is a tetrazolium inner salt useful for determining the number of viable cells in proliferation or chemosensitivity assays. MTS is bioreduced by cells into a colored formazan product that is soluble in tissue culture medium. This conversion is thought to be carried out by NAD(P)H-dependent dehydrogenase enzymes in metabolically active cells.
