Description
Nerve growth factor- (NGF-) is a potent neurotrophic factor that supports the growth and survivability of nerve and/or glial cells. The active form of human NGF- is a dimer, formed by two identical 119 amino acid subunits, which is held together by strong hydrophobic interactions. Recombinant human BGF-b produced in CHO cells is a homodimer, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 2 identical 119 amino acids and having a molecular weight of 16.95 kDa. The protein is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
