Application: WB
Application Range: WB: 1:500~1:1000
Background: Nitric Oxide Synthase (NOS) catalyzes the formation of nitric oxide (NO) and citruline from L-arginine, oxygen and cofactors. Three family members have been characterized: neuronal NOS (nNOS), which is found primarily in neuronal tissue; inducible NOS (iNOS), which is induced by interferon gamma and lipopolysaccharides in the kidney and cardiovascular system; and endothelial NOS (eNOS), which is expressed in blood vessels. NO is a messenger molecule with diverse functions throughout the body including the maintenance of vascular integrity, homeostasis, synaptic plasticity, long-term potentiation, learning, and memory.
Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: p-NOS1 (S1417) pAb detects endogenous levels of p-NOS1 (S1417) protein only when phosphorylated at Ser1417.
Molecular Weight: ~ 160 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Alternative Names: Nitric oxide synthase, brain; Constitutive NOS; NC-NOS; NOS type I; Neuronal NOS; N-NOS; nNOS; Peptidyl-cysteine S-nitrosylase NOS1; bNOS; NOS1
Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human NOS1 around the phosphorylation site of Serine 1417
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Modification: Phosphorylation
Purification & Purity: The Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE) .
