Description
Rat Anti-IgE receptor antibody (IgER-Ab) ELISA Kit | KTE100933 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution
Application: This Rat Anti-IgE receptor antibody (IgER-Ab) ELISA Kit employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to IgER-Ab. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) -conjugated IgER-Ab and incubated. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled IgER-Ab and unlabeled IgER-Ab with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of IgER-Ab in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Detection Method: Colorimetric
Conjugate: N/A
Sample Type: Cell culture supernatants#Serum#Plasma#Other biological fluids
Assay Type: Multiple steps standard sandwich ELISA assay with a working time of 3-5 hours. It depends on the experience of the operation person.

Background: The allergic response involves the binding of allergen to receptor-bound IgE followed by cell activation and the release of mediators responsible for the manifestations of allergy. The IgE-receptor, a tetramer composed of an alpha, beta, and 2 disulfide-linked gamma chains, is found on the surface of mast cells and basophils.MS4A2encodes the beta subunit of the high affinity IgE receptor which is a member of the membrane-spanning 4A gene family. Members of this nascent protein family are characterized by common structural features and similar intron/exon splice boundaries and display unique expression patterns among hematopoietic cells and nonlymphoid tissues. This family member is localized to 11q12, among a cluster of family members.
