Usage Note: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Rat IL-1 beta protein using the buffer we provided not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Storage Conditions: Lyophilized Rat IL-1β proteinshould be stored desiccated below -20°C. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20°C. IL-1β is an important mediator of the inflammatory response, and is involved in a variety of cellular activities, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. The induction of cyclooxygenase-2 (PTGS2/COX2) by Interleukin 1β in the central nervous system (CNS) . IL-1β gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2.
