ROS1 is an orphan receptor tyrosine kinase that belongs to the family of insulin receptors. This protein has tyrosine kinase activity and is structurally similar to anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). The exact biological function of ROS1 remains unknown; however, studies have demonstrated that chromosomal rearrangement results in ROS1 fusion that promotes oncogenesis in non-small cell lung cancer, gastric, colorectal, ovarian cancer, and glioblastoma. Multiple drugs such as Crizotinib, Ceritinib, and Entrectinib target ROS1 fusion in cancers and are currently under investigation in clinical trials. ’s ROS1 (Human) ELISA kit quantitatively measures ROS1 in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Test samples, Standards, and Biotinylated Detection antibody are added to the wells pre-coated with capture antibody and then washed with Wash Buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added to the plate, and post-incubation any unattached conjugates are washed off by Wash Buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of ROS1 in the sample or standard.
