Description

Tet1 (C-term) polyclonal Antibody | BZ12161 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Host: Rabbit

Reactivity: Mouse

Application: WB

Application Range: WB: 1:2000

Background: Dioxygenase that catalyzes the conversion of the modified genomic base 5-methylcytosine (5mC) into 5- hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) and plays a key role in active DNA demethylation. Also mediates subsequent conversion of 5hmC into 5- formylcytosine (5fC), and conversion of 5fC to 5-carboxylcytosine (5caC) . Conversion of 5mC into 5hmC, 5fC and 5caC probably constitutes the first step in cytosine demethylation. Methylation at the C5 position of cytosine bases is an epigenetic modification of the mammalian genome which plays an important role in transcriptional regulation.

Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: Tet1 (C-term) polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of Tet1 protein.

Molecular Weight: ~ 219 kDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Alternative Names: Methylcytosine dioxygenase TET1; CXXC-type zinc finger protein 6; Ten-eleven translocation 1 gene protein homolog; Cxxc6; Kiaa1676

Immunogen: This mouse Tet1 Antibody is generated from a rabbit immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 1845-1879 amino acids from the C-terminal region of mouse Tet1.

Conjugate: Unconjugated

Modification: Unmodification

Purification & Purity: The Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE) .
