Description

TGFβ RI polyclonal Antibody | BS3257 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Host: Rabbit

Reactivity: Human,Mouse,Rat

Application: WB

Application Range: WB: 1:500~1:1000

Background: Three members of the TGF beta family, TGF beta 1, TGF beta 2 and TGF beta 3, are known in mammals. TGF betas mediate their activity by high affinity binding to the type 2 receptor, which requires both its kinase activity and association with members of a series of related type 1 receptors called activin receptor like kinase (ALK) 1 to 6. Of these, only ALK5 has been shown to represent a functional TGF beta type 1 receptor, but only ALK2 and ALK4 bind activin with high affinity. TGF beta R3 binds TGF beta and retains TGF beta for presentation to the signaling receptors.

Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: TGFβ RI (E161) polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of TGFβ RI protein.

Molecular Weight: ~ 56 kDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Alternative Names: TGF-beta receptor type-1; TGFR-1; Activin A receptor type II-like protein kinase of 53kD; Activin receptor-like kinase 5; ALK-5; ALK5; Serine/threonine-protein kinase receptor R4; SKR4; TGF-beta type I receptor; Transforming growth factor-beta receptor type I; TGF-beta receptor type I; TbetaR-I; TGFBR1; ALK5; SKR4

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 150-200 of Human TGFβ RI.
