Background: Zeaxanthin Epoxidase (ZEP) catalyses the O2-/NAPDHdependent epoxidation of zeaxanthin to violaxanthin via antheraxanthin at the stromal side of the thylakoid membrane of green plants. ZEP also functions in the first step of the biosynthesis of the abiotic stress hormone abscisic acid (ABA) . Synonymes:Protein ABA Deficient 1, AtABA1, Protein Impaired in BABA-Induced Sterility 3, Protein Low Expression of Osmotic Stress-Responsive Genes 6, Protein Non-Photochemical Quenching 2.

Reconstitution: For reconstitution add 50 µl of sterile water

Storage: Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
