Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This ACBG2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 237-265 amino acids from the Central region of human ACBG2.
Cellular Localisation: Cytoplasm. Membrane; Peripheral membrane protein.
Molecular Weight: 74354
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: ACSBG2 (HGNC:24174)
Gene ID: 81616
Function: Catalyzes the conversion of fatty acids such as long chain and very long-chain fatty acids to their active form acyl-CoAs for both synthesis of cellular lipids, and degradation via beta-oxidation. Can activate diverse saturated, monosaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PubMed:16371355, PubMed:16762313) . Has increased ability to activate oleic and linoleic acid (PubMed:16371355) . May play a role in spermatogenesis (PubMed:15685348) .
Summary: Tissue Location: Testis-specific.
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB, IHC-P, FC
Dilution: WB--1:1000 IHC-P--1:100~500 FC--1:10~50
Synonyms: Long-chain-fatty-acid--CoA ligase ACSBG2, Acyl-CoA synthetase bubblegum family member 2, Bubblegum-related protein, PRTD-NY3, ACSBG2, BGR
