Description: ADAM29 is a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase) gene family which is involved in many important physiological processes such as fertilization, neurogenesis and inflammatory response. ADAM29 is a type I integral membrane protein and secrets a glycoprotein that mediates cell-cell and cell-matrix interaction. It is involved in a number of physiological processes diversification. ADAM29 is increased in gastric cancer and the elevated expression of ADAM29 is associated with a poor survival rate of patients. ADAM29 becomes a prognostic factor and therapeutic candidate for human gastric cancer. ADAM29 plays a certain role in the signal transduction during the maturation of testis-associated cells. ’s ADAM29 (Human) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative detection of ADAM29 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is based on the principle of sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody isre-coated on 96-well plates. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of ADAM29 in the sample.
