Description: ADAMTS12 is a member of ADAMTS (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs) family which plays an important role in various biological and pathological processes, such as development, angiogenesis, inflammation, cancer, arthritis, and atherosclerosis. It shares several distinct protein modules, including a propeptide region, a metalloproteinase domain, a disintegrin-like domain, and a thrombospondin type 1 (TS-1) motif. The ADAMTS12 mRNA level was upregulated in colorectal cancer tissues, and colorectal cancer patients with a high level of ADAMTS12 showed worse prognosis when compared with the patients with a low level of ADAMTS12. It fulfills the tumor-promotor role by activating Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway in colon cells and may represent a good prognostic marker in colorectal cancer target treatment. ’s ADAMTS12 (Human) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative detection of ADAMTS12 in serum, pla, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is based on the principle of sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is pre-coated on 96-well plates. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of ADAMTS12 in the sample.
