Description: ADAMTS20 (A disintegrin-like and metalloprotease domain with thrombospondin type-1 motifs) is a member of a family of secreted metalloproteases that can process a variety of extracellular matrix components and secreted molecules. It plays a role in tissue-remodeling process occurring in both normal and pathological conditions. It has a protease-independent function in the transport from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus of secretory cargos, mediated by the GON domain. ADAMTS20 has an additional proteolytic role intracellularly, revealing an unexpected regulatory dimension in ciliogenesis. ’s ADAMTS20 (Human) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative detection of ADAMTS20 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is based on the principle of sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is pre-coated on 96-well plates. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are ded to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of ADAMTS20 in the sample.
