Description
ADIPOR1 Antibody (C-term) [APR06109G] | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This ADIPOR1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 305-331 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human ADIPOR1.
Cellular Localisation: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein Note=Localized to the cell membrane and intracellular organelles
Molecular Weight: 42616
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: ADIPOR1 (HGNC:24040)
Gene ID: 51094
Function: Receptor for ADIPOQ, an essential hormone secreted by adipocytes that regulates glucose and lipid metabolism (PubMed:25855295, PubMed:12802337) . Required for normal glucose and fat homeostasis and for maintaining a normal body weight. ADIPOQ-binding activates a signaling cascade that leads to increased AMPK activity, and ultimately to increased fatty acid oxidation, increased glucose uptake and decreased gluconeogenesis. Has high affinity for globular adiponectin and low affinity for full-length adiponectin (By similarity) .
Summary: Tissue Location: Widely expressed (PubMed:16044242) . Highly expressed in heart and skeletal muscle (PubMed:12802337) . Expressed at intermediate level in brain, spleen, kidney, liver, placenta, lung and peripheral blood leukocytes (PubMed:12802337) . Weakly expressed in colon, thymus and small intestine (PubMed:12802337)
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB, IHC-P, FC
Dilution: WB--1:1000 IHC-P--1:100~500 FC--1:10~50
Synonyms: Adiponectin receptor protein 1, Progestin and adipoQ receptor family member I, ADIPOR1, PAQR1, TESBP1A
