Description: Albiflorin, a major constituent isolated from Peony roots, is a monoterpene glycoside with neuroprotective effects. It acts as a novel 5-HT and NE (norepinephrine) reuptake inhibitor with high selectivity. Albiflorin also displays anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antinociceptive effects.
