Antimycin A, isolated from Streptomyces sp., is a mixture of Antimycins A1, A2, A3 and A4. Inhibits mitochondrial electron transport, specifically between cytochromes b and c1. Induces apoptosis, which is not prevented by the presence of Bcl-2.
