Description
Apoptozole is an inhibitor of the ATPase domain of Hsc70 and Hsp70, with Kds of 0.21 and 0.14 μM, respectively. Apoptozole dose-dependently induces apoptosis in cancer cells (IC₅₀ = 5-7 µM). It prevents the association of Hsp70 with apoptotic protease-activating factor 1 and triggers caspase activation in HeLa cells.
