Background: ATG5 (Autophagy protein 5) is a protein required for autophagy. Involved in a negative feedback loop that modulates NPR1-dependent salicylic acid (SA) signaling and limits senescence and immunity-related programmed cell death (PCD) in plants and a complete proteolysis of chloroplast stroma proteins in senescent leaves, in the degradation of damaged peroxisomes. Alternative names: Protein autophagy 5, AtAPG5.

Reconstitution: For reconstitution add 50 µl, of sterile water

Storage: Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C (short tem, months) or at -80°C (long term, years) ; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
